Is the park open year-round?

Rocky Mountain National Park is open year-round; however, Trail Ridge Road, which is used to access the Trail Ridge Gift Store is only open from late May until early October (subject to weather conditions).

What can I expect to find at the Trail Ridge Gift Store?

The Trail Ridge Gift Store offers a unique collection of gifts and souvenirs. You can also find specialty items such as handmade Native American handcrafts and jewelry, Rocky Mountain National Park apparel, plush toys, southwestern throws and pillows, candles, books and DVD's.

Travel supplies are also available such as camera film and batteries, sundries, candy and snacks; just in case you need something extra for the rest of your visit through the park.

Is there lodging at Rocky Mountain National Park?

What should I expect the weather to be?

The Trail Ridge Store is 11,796 feet above sea level.  Temperatures can reach the low 80's during the mid-summer months, but can also drop to freezing at night. 

We advise you to check weather Web sites for current forecasts as the weather can fluctuate.

Is there cell phone service?

No, the closest service is found in Estes Park.

Is there a business center?

We do not offer a business center.

Is there an entrance fee to enter the Park?

The National Park Service currently charges $20 per private vehicle at the entrance gate. When entering by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or commercial vehicle the fee will vary. Please visit the National Park Service Web site for more information.

Where is the nearest location to get fuel?

Gasoline is only available in the gateway communities bordering the park.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are not permitted at The Trail Ridge Store, but are permitted in certain areas within the park.  Please refer to the National Park Service Web site for additional details.

Do I need dining room reservations?

The Cafe at Trail Ridge is cafeteria style; first come, first served. Reservations are not required.
