NOTICE: due to construction necessary to repair the damage from recent flooding in the area, visitors must take a detour to the Trail Ridge Giftshop.

We reccomend following the beautiful, scenic SH 7 route (between Estes Park and Lyons) to enjoy some breath-taking scenery along your journey!

Rocky Mountain National Park is located in north central Colorado, west of and in between the cities of Fort Collins and Boulder, Colorado.

By Automobile

Use the following directions for accessing the park during summer months.

From Denver and the East

  • Take U.S. routes 34 or 36 through Estes Park, Colorado.

From west or South

  • Take I-70 to U.S. Rt. 40.
  • Take Rt. 40 to U.S. Rt.34 through Granby and Grand Lake.
