Welcome to Rocky Mountain National Park

Travel along the backbone of the Continental Divide and visit us midway in your journey across Rocky Mountain National Park’s Trail Ridge Road, the nation’s highest paved roadway -- which leads through some of the country’s most scenic wilderness.

Wind your way through five distinct ecosystems, with majestic mountain ranges, emerald lakes, ethereal waterfalls, lush valleys and abundant wildlife. Then, take in the beauty of the park from a 12,000-foot vantage point atop Trail Ridge Road.

Relax & Recharge

After hiking along Rocky Mountain National Park’s hundreds of miles of trails, spending a day photographing elk, or taking in the glorious fall foliage, a stop on Trail Ridge is the perfect way to complete your visit. Relax and recharge, while rounding out your park experience.

Pause for a meal at the Café at Trail Ridge or fuel up with a quick snack from the Trail Ridge Coffee Bar. Commemorate your time in Rocky Mountain National Park with a keepsake from our shop’s distinctive selection of gifts, apparel, and regional and Native American crafts.

Come Early & Stay Late

Even if you only have limited time to explore, Café at Trail Ridge and Trail Ridge Store can help you discover new facets of the park. Images from John Fielder, one of the nation’s foremost nature photographers, chronicle the Rocky Mountain landscape throughout the Trail Ridge building.

While Rocky Mountain National Park is a short drive from Denver and Boulder, Trail Ridge Road is only open 150 days a year. So come early, stay late, and experience breathtaking vistas that can only be viewed from this alpine perch before the snow falls or after the drifts melt.

Trail Ridge at Rocky Mountain National Park. A hug for your senses. Refreshment for your spirit. All in a setting that scrapes the clouds.
